Sales Tips

  • One of the most important tips to consistent and growing sales is to keep to reasonable selling prices. You will still make great profits and it will mean that your customers will be getting great value for their money AND you will be rewarded with their loyalty. If they feel you are ripping them off, they will not come back to buy more fragrances in the future. You would rather have 100 customers buying fragrances at R80 each than having 2 customers buying them at R200.
  • In sales, customer service is everything. If you say you will be at a certain place at a certain time, make sure you are. Many sales are lost simply because the wholesaler either failed to show up or failed to follow-through.
  • Have a clear pitch ready to give to your potential customers and think of any questions the customer may ask you about the product. The most successful people are those who can explain their products and answer any related questions with confidence.
  • With the unique Fragrance Garden Collection sales kit, you can take your fragrances anywhere and everywhere. Use this to your advantage! The more people you show the product to, the more likely you are of landing a sale.
  • Buy testers! This will dramatically increase your sales! We have seen over and over again that the clients who invest in our testers have much greater sales.
  • Always wear a fragrance, and apply a fragrance when you are among people. Customers are always impressed by the scent and will inevitably ask you questions about the fragrance. Once this happens you can introduce them to your business, the concept of generic fragrances and offer them a tester to sample.
  • If you can smell that a person is wearing a specific fragrance, ask them which fragrance they are wearing. Potential customers love talking about the favourite fragrances, and this will open doors for you to talk about the fragrances you are marketing.
  • Many people do not understand the concept of generic fragrances, use small talk and other social opportunities to introduce the concept to them. Once you explain it, and the cost effectiveness and quality of generic fragrances, they will be convinced!
  • Always make sure you carry a couple of testers, brochures and a bottle of fragrance with you. When people ask questions about the fragrances, you will always be prepared to demonstrate to them what the fragrances look like, and how excellent they smell. You never know when there is a potential customer.
